Days after the opening of famed hypeman Flavor Flav’s new restaurant franchise, Flav’s Fried Chicken, fellow Public Enemy member Chuck D has given his opinion on the opening of the restaurant.

Chuck D expressed his support for Flav’s business venture and explained that the press rather focus on the negative rather than the positive.

“He does groundbreaking sht in South Africa etc 71 tour 76 countries and press rather pay attention to asking me about Flavs chicken WTF?” Chuck D explained in a Tweet. “I give FLAV credit I rather him sell something most people EAT ..like why does Popeye Bojangles and The Colonel get automatic blackfolk?”

Flavor Flav announced that he would be opening a fried chicken franchise back in November of last year. He also revealed that he would be releasing a line of flavored liquors.

“I want you all to keep on the lookout – it should be on the shelves by January – I’m launching a thing called ‘Le Flav Spirits’…I’m also launching FFC – ya’ll heard of KFC right? – well this is FFC, Flav’s Fried Chicken,” said Flav. “The Colonel better watch his back, G! The Colonel might end up in my fryer.”

Flav’s Fried Chicken opened in Clinton, Iowa on Monday, January 24.
