Kanye West Announces New Album In Summer 2011, Jay-Z Collabo In March

This year will see more musical output from Kanye West than perhaps any other, as the rapper has announced that he will release a new solo album in 2011.

This comes after an announcement from Ye on Twitter (@kanyewest) which attached a more specific release date for his upcoming collaborative album with Jay-Z, Watch The Throne.

As for the solo follow-up to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye offered no details, save the season during which he hope to drop the project.

In related news, a Hype Williams-directed music video for Kanye’s “All of the Lights” is set to air next week.

How are you hating on Kanye? The man is one of the best producers out there right now. Did you hear "All of The Lights." One of the most well put together songs of 2010. His lyrics are usually on point, and so are his collaborations. He may have a bad reputation but he still puts out decent music, in my top 3 for producers right now after listening to MBDTF. Glad to hear he's droppin a solo album. But for now, LASERS!

Kanye is just different in his approach, he is opening doors and changing the game of hip hop. Compared to cookie-cutter hip hop his lyrics and flow are average, but in his own world that he created, as a piece of art, his stuff is evocative and emotional. I will say that All of the Lights was overproduced, and I think Lasers was *horrible*, but Kanye's beats can't be touched. Where are Neptunes and Timbo now on commercial hip hop? All I see is Kanye killing it.

^^^^^^ Umm have you heard Graduation? 1 feature. 808's had 2. And why not be different? After all, that is what nature intended. We were all born different so your music should reflect you and your feelings/experiences not some genre status quo. You're entitled to your opinion tho, *Kanye Shrug*.

he cant carry an album on hiw own abilities so he has to whore it out with 20+ features. Kanye never has been a good rapper or much of a lyricist. his music lately has become too much to try and be different from typical hiphop. his production is on point most of the time and very good, but the direction he's going in recently is on some Yoko shit

All of the Light was a clustered song with WAY to many guest stars. The production was fine but not spectacular.
