The New Year brings a carry over of old beef for Lil Kim, as she opts to continue her feud with Nicki Minaj. However, The Queen Bee is making sure songstresses Keyshia Cole and Mary J. Blige won’t be dragged into the cat fighting. A viral video surfaced around New Year’s Eve which featured Kim saying, “I think this other bitch got a song with Keyshia Cole, coming at me and the motherfucking other queen Mary J. Blige. Me and my girl Mary J. Blige about to eat these bitches alive where they won’t even fucking exist no more…”
@LilKimDaGoddess is NOT doing a dis record to minaj and K.C! Lil Kim and Mary J are just gona be doing a HOT track together!! ;)
Tuesday found Kim addressing the matter via Twitter saying the media had blown the situation out of proportion. While tracks such as “Black Friday” and “Roman’s Revenge” show there is clearly no love lost between Lil Kim and Nicki, Kim took time to step back from her previous comments about Cole and state that Blige will not be involved in any beef.
all i was saying on NYE was me & @maryjblige do what we do & are who we are. & when me n mary collab its always a movie. that's my sister.
Will the feud have an impact on the charts? As it currently stands, Lil Kim hasn’t placed a single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since 2005’s “Lighters Up.” In 2010, Nicki Minaj had three singles from Pink Friday reach the Hot 100, and she also set a record by being the first female rapper featured on seven songs in the Top 200 singles chart.
i've always had love 4 @keyshiacole but i would have never let anyone catch reck on her on my track cause keyshia was my friend in my eyes.
