cold vein was and is a classic but it won't ever be repeated. everything clicked for them on that record, the stars were perfectly aligned or some shit like that i still think vast aire's a dope MC though

dont forget about vast aire first solo lp look mom no hands. that shit actually thumped. it is widely slept on but it is a great album. sharp bars and ill ass beats from mf doom, da beatminerz, madlib, jake one, n.a.s.a., blueprint and ayatollah. sick lp. and do y'all remember the mighty joseph album that came out with karniege. as far as a duo album goes that is a worthy sequel to cold vein so far. that was a great album. mighty joseph - empire state

Definitely not to take anything away from Vordul....its a fucking shame that he never was able to do very much after the Cold Vein, I have read some stuff about him having pretty bad depression and drug problems. I would agree that Megagraphitti is as good as any of Vasts solos

vast is still good on CV, but even better on some of the atoms family releases.

  • DA1

NIGGA I DONT EVEN REMEMBER WHAT COLD VEIN SOUND LIKE. CUZ HIS NEW SHIT BEEN OFF THE CHAIN. wow niggas wack

  • merk

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks The Cold Vein is anything from him worth listening to. His verses on that album were and still are so solid. His solo releases are terrible.

  • Arewhy Ripper

Look for production from Brother Hood 603!! The same dudes that did the beat for Battle of the Planets!! STREET ODYSSEY, WHAT?!?!

  • Black Alien

I'm vast aire you small like an airplane pillow..Who said he hasn't had a good verese in 5 yrs is an asshole...You didn't get Dueces Wild or any of thr Way of the Fist mixtapes ? This won't be Cold Vein but still raw hip-hop..And EL-P is one of the best ever as a emcee or producer..

  • 9Stories

Vast has'nt spit a worth-while verse in 5 years. He's way past his prime.

  • The Truth

If people are expecting another cold vein then keep wishing because that day is over and people need to move on El-P is not the same producer anymore doesnt have that sound just expect good music from this record and any further venture. Get over it there will never a be another Cold Vein, or a Illmatic, or a 36 Chambers...etc.. those days are over its a new day and Hip hop is still Alive!!

  • Ben

Well....Im hopeful here, and Im not trying to hate.....but without El-P, Vast Aire is just another abstract poet. Anyone attempting to say that Dueces Wild, Look Mom no Hands or Mighty Joseph were decent follow-ups to the Cold Vein is BULLSHITTING themselves. I like Vast Aire, he is really unique and I will certainly get tis album.... but Im not sure if he can create that kind of magic without a true genius leading the way. El-P is the most underrated, under-appreciated hiphop individual, ever.

    • EddieMurrrphy

the only reason cold vein stands milleniums beyond his solo releases is because of vordul mega. el-p gets his dick sucked plenty. he is not under appreciated. vordul is tho, that guy is tha shiznit. el-p beats are sick but he needs that mega energy to bounce off of. the best album since the cold vein from either of them was mega graphitti by vordul. the only vast aire album that ain't that good is the best damn rap show w/ dj mighty mi

  • hiphopjudge

Lets see if he can top Cold Vein

  • the.watcher

Deuces Wild was a worthy successor to Cold Vein, and if his next albums follow in those footsteps, I cannot wait to hear them! Scream Phoenix.

  • THA GODZ

VAST AIRE AND KOUNT FIF?? WHATTT??? GYEAH!!!! THESE ALBUMS ARE GONNA BE THE SHIZNIT!
