In one of the biggest first-day sales of 2010, Def Jam Records has partnered with Amazon.com to release Kanye West’s fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasyfor a $3.99 digital download. It is unclear how long this sale price will last, but the seller giant has done previous digital sales with releases from Common and Soulja Boy.
Also released in CD and Deluxe CD edition (with the Runaway short film as a bonus disc), the critically-acclaimed album releases today, with appearances by Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, and Nicki Minaj, who also released Pink Friday today.
For its first week, Amazon has also released Jay-Z’s book Decoded for nearly 50% off.
