As heard on Bun B’s Trill O.G.intro, “Chuuch!!!” Rap-A-Lot Records was instrumental in Drake’s discovery. The Houston, Texas imprint never signed the would-be Young Money star, however Jaz Prince, son of the label’s founder/CEO James Prince befriended the emcee/singer many years ago. “Let’s welcome Drake, the newest member of the family, who my son, Jaz Prince, discovered,” said J. Prince in the latest of his signature Rap-A-Lot release introductions.

That love was reciprocated this past week on October 29. According to a YouTube video, Drake provided Jaz with a new Lamborghini for his birthday at Houston’s Reliant Arena.
