North Carolina rapper Petey Pablo was arrested today, in Raleigh Durham Airport. The former Jive Records star who later was an affiliate of Suge Knight was found with a pistol in his carry-on luggage. Pablo was reportedly headed to Los Angeles, California for tomorrow night’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Pablo will appear in court this Monday in North Carolina, and remains incarcerated with $50,000 bail. Possession of a firearm at an airport is a felony.

Yesterday Pablo turned 31 years old. The rapper has reportedly been working on a collection of songs called A&R.
