Wiz Khalifa has signed a deal with Atlantic Records, as HipHopDX first reported in May of this year. Those reports were confirmed late yesterday.

The Pittsburgh, PA native and DXnext alum announced the deal July 30, and their intention to release the rapper’s debut album in early 2011.

Aside from working on his debut, the young rapper will embark on his Waken Bake tour, which will make stops in 55 cities, beginning in September.

Fellow DXnext-ers YelaWolf and Big K.R.I.T. will join Wiz on the tour.
