in a music sales climate where there are very few “sure things,” may in the Hip Hop world would consider passing up the opportunity to record a music video with Lil Wayne.

That is, unless you have an opportunity to record with Dr. Dre.

That’s the decision that Compton rapper The Game made, he related to MTV News recently. “I flaked on the video,” said Game, referring to “Everything Is Red, which features Lil Wayne and Birdman. “Bird was like, ‘Listen, daddy, you can come down here. Junior is gonna turn himself in next Wednesday. You can come down here. We can shoot the video before Junior go in. You just have that in the safe.’ I blew it. I didn’t make it down. Once he went [to jail], I was like, ‘I can’t use this.’ I didn’t want to save it, so I gave it away. That was like, ‘Single!’ “

Game defended the decision, explaining that, “When Dre is mixing, you don’t leave. You gotta stay posted.”

Game’s The R.E.D. Album is due in stores later this summer.
