Alright, I've seen people in this thread saying crazy things about Slaughterhouse that I just have to speak on: 1) Royce Da 5'9 is a very talented MC, but he is by no means the best. In my opinion, he's limited by his subject matter. I don't think I've ever heard a Royce song where he didn't mention a gun. It's the same "Gangsta Bravado" Schtick like every track. I think that he could do more...if he tried a little harder, he could be like Detroit's Ras Kass. He's dope but he needs to step his game up IMHO. 2) Joell Ortiz is dope, but anyone that says that he's better than Big Pun is insane. I respect Ortiz's talent, definitely, but you can't compare him to Big Pun...Pun was a lyrical freak of nature. 3) I never understood what the big deal was about Joe Budden. The guy just never has impressed me that much. I have a bunch of friends who rave about him, and they give me his tracks to listen to, and i'm like "He's just OK". I've just never heard anything by him that made me go "WOW"...plus I tend to like him even less because he's one of those guys that starts a bunch of drama for no reason (like Game does sometimes). I recognize that he does have some lyrical talent, but I'm not his biggest fan at all, and I don't understand how people can say he's the best. It might just be a matter of opinion, but I can think of dozens of MC's that I think are better than him. 4) Crooked I is dope, but he is NOT better than Nas. I'm sorry. No disrespect to Crooked...I think he's really talented, but someone in here said that he was better than Nas and I just thought that was silly. Someone said that he was better than current Nas, but I thought that on Nas' last output (Distant Relatives) that he spit very thought-provokative lyrics. 5) As far as Eminem goes, his production is pretty hit and miss. Some are the tracks that he has produced have been pretty dope, others have been average. As far as Eminem's rhyming skills, in my opinion, his style has gotten better, but his actual lyrics have gone downhill a bit every since he started gaining more & more fame. I miss SoundBombing II Eminem...he was really dope lyrically. Eminem's one of those guys that has a style that's so dope that he could make an entire song about doo-doo, and people would be like "Oh shit...this is the best song ever!!! Eminem's the best rapper ever!!!". LOL. In all actuality, lyrically, there are a lot of MC's out there right now that are out-shining him. For example, Canibus' verse on "Post Traumatic War Lab Stress" embarasses anything that Eminem has done in recent memory. I'm waiting to hear the Recovery, because I heard that he's trying to come back to form, but we'll have to wait and see. I like Em a lot...I just hope that he can get back to his old self. And I'd also like to see him tackle some different subject matter. The only time that he really gets deep on tracks is when he's doing songs that are about his personal life. I'd like to see some really dope social commentary tracks from him in the future.

if em signs slaughterhouse, he should become a group member. that way em can lead 2 groups. d12, his homies from wayback. and slaughterhouse, his lyrical goon squad. 5 man crew, royce, crook, joell, joe, and em. that would be murder on every track. i hope thats what the plan is. em being in the group would increase visibility, and it would be ILL to see a guy that big, put himself out there and work with artists like that. devils night is a classic. slaughterhouse with em, alc, and dre beats? game over for any other rap group not named wu tang. i wanna see em all over the slaugherhouse record, itd motivate his fans to support it, and be a great test for him artistically. these guys deserve the sales. royce and em finally back 2gether tho. hip hop fans around the world poppin bottles to that. thats a 2 man wrecking crew right there.

PLEASE don't screw this up. Let Slaughterhouse be them, but give them better production. Don't sign them then they don't release an album for 3 years then leave the label. I know that's more Interscope then Shady Records but still
