With the April release of their sample-driven project Off The Track Vol. III: Brooklyn, it’s safe to say that veteran deejays/producers Kon and Amir know a thing or two about crate digging. As such, the duo recently teamed up with Complex.com to outline the 50 greatest samples in Hip Hop history from their perspective.
Records that made the cut include Kool and the Gang’s “Chocolate Buttermilk,” James Brown’s “Funky President,” and The Ohio Player’s “Funky Worm.” To view the entire list, click here. Kon and Amir’s Off The Track Vol. III: Brooklyn is out now on Rapster/BBE Records.
