According to various sources, incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne was recently caught hiding unauthorized music contraband in his Rikers Island cell. TMZ reports that Lil Wayne was caught with an iPod charger and earphones.

A source explained to the New York Daily News that the charger and earphones were found in Wayne’s trash can and was wrapped in foil and placed in a bag. According to the source, the actual MP3 player was found later in another inmates cell.

“He was found with a charger for an MP3 player and unauthorized earphones,” a source told the New York Daily News.

Officers were allegedly informed of Wayne’s music contraband by a fellow prisoner. A search of the rapper’s cell was then conducted early yesterday morning (May 11).

As a result of the music contraband Lil Wayne will be charged with an infraction for the possession of contraband.
