Former Rikers guard Amelia Negron says she was fired after she was accused of trying to sneak a peak at Lil Wayne, who is currently serving time at the facility.

is preparing a federal suit against New York City because she claims she was forced to confess trying to gawk at Wayne, according to the New York Daily News.

“I don’t even like rap,” explained Negron, 33. “I like rock and alternative music and didn’t know much about him when they said I tried to see him. None of it’s true.”

“The door to the area was unlocked, and so I went in to say hello, and that officer said, ‘Hey, you can’t be here. We’ve got a celeb here.’ I said, ‘Okay, no problem,’ turned around and left,” she continued.

Negron says that Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association President Norman Seabrook said he’d take care of the matter if she admitted to trying to see Wayne – a claim he denies.

On April 19, Negron was fired because the Department of Correction judged she had missed too many days of work. Negron rebuked the assertion, blaming her missed days on an injury at a gun range.
