May 18th will see the release of Digital Underground’s Greenlight EP. Released by Jake Records, the digital and physical release features unreleased archival material from the famed Bay Area group that includes Shock G and Money B. In addition to the archival material featuring work with J. Stalin, David Banner and Numbskull of The Luniz, the EP features an early live performance of “Same Song,” featuring 2Pac.

The song appearance is remembered as the late emcee’s first released recording.

It has been reported to HipHopDX that popular Omega Psi Phi fraternity anthem “I’m A Q” by Pinc Gator will be remixed this weekend by Parliament Funkadelic founder George Clinton. The remix is said to be taking place in Houston, Texas, and DX is expected to have additional information.
