A $10,000 warrant was issued for Coolio’s arrest on Monday (Apr. 5) after he missed his progress report court date. The rapper is obligated to attend  mandatory check-ins with a Los Angeles court after he pleaded guilty to drug possession last June.  According to TMZ, Coolio’s lawyer was not able to get in touch with him until after the hearing.

However, after making an appearance in court on Tuesday (Apr. 6), the judge waived the benchmark warrant and confirmed that the rapper had been following the terms of his probation. He is due back in court on Jan. 18, 2011.

In other news, a former New York City karaoke club worker has been sentenced to 20 years to life following the murder of a patron during Lil Kim’s birthday party in 2008. Syed Rahman pleaded guilty to the murder charge earlier this year.

Lil Kim was not involved in the case, and was reported to have been absent from the party at the time of the murder.
