The emcee, who worked on The Roots’ 2006 Game Theory album as well as their 2008 Rising Down follow-up was released from a Pennsylvania prison April 1, confirmed an associate. The emcee is now at work in a Philadelphia’s Bat Cave Studios, recording new music.
Upon his incarceration, Peedi was readying his solo debut A Night In The Life for Amalgam Digital Records.
UPDATE: HipHopDX has learned that Peedi is working on a different album at this time, led by leaked single “Not Ready,” presently getting radio-play in Crakk’s hometown and other outlets. Peedi will also make an appearance on The Roots’ How I Got Over, due on the 22 of June.
