wow so many people have posted garbage i dont know what to say first. joe budden is amazing. best lyricist out right now. royce is too hit or miss. its either great or just plain corny. He has been a lot better though since sloughterhouse though. and other songs to list for em's diversity (murder murder). one of the best rap songs ever in my opinion in his way to tell an entire story, make it entertaining and funny with great word play. & b.o.b has to be diverse to make up for his shitty average ass raps he writes. he sounds whiter than em does. i dunno. i am impressed with his donkey kong score though.

While Eminem is undoubtedly known for his horrorcore approach to certain songs, it's erroneous to say that he's restricted or limited as an artist. In "The Marshall Mathers LP," and more noticeably in "The Eminem Show," Eminem delves into his own life, the plight and privation he had to supplant to make it into the industry, and also the precarious predicaments that manifested as a result of his precipitous rise to stardom. If you don't like Eminem's style, I can at least understand your vantage point. But to say that Eminem's discography is weak, or that it lacks diversity is beyond fallacious. He's actually one of the last rappers remaining who is cognizant of what it takes to make a good album (i.e - the implementation of themes). If he's not in your top five, that's fine, but substantiate your opinion in a better way.
