Whether or not you classify Drake as being a hip hop beast who can rip beats to shreds or just a poser who knows nothing of the game. One thing remains clear, the music he's putting out is certainly or great quality which to most audiances cannot be denied. Furthermore, the Thank Me Later album is something that hip hop needs! General audiences of America no longer see Hip Hop as a top priority for musical choice. Drakes music at times may be watered-down and lack a certain amount of depth but he comes clear & precise. I for one will be purchasing this album and hope others will push forward for rap to have another chart-topping-million in a week selling album.

ok ok ok ok first of all @DA POLICE, what the fuck are you talking about? drake is the best rapper/mc in the last ten years? he sounds EXACTLY like wayne, and that is no compliment. he goes hard? what is he going hard at? he puts it in hardcore? what does that even mean? and trust me, there will be nothing classic about this album. shit drake will be lucky if anyone is talking about him in a year let alone remembering this album. Drake is a commercially manufactured performer, theres nothing hip hop about him. he certainly aint helpin the game.

yall really need to stop. people always say o this person aint lyrical or o this person would destroy this person and so on and so forth. but yall arent hiphop historians because all u doin is lending ur opinion. hiphop was based off diversity. yeah there are some mcees nicer then drake who got good music out. and thats cool if u love that kinda music. but some people dont. some people like dance music so they listen to soulja boy, and v.i.c. some people like listening to spirituality and politics in rap so they seek out kanye west or lupe fiasco or b.o.b. some people love they crazy metaphors and comparsions in music. so they listen to lil wayne or drake. the point is people listen to diffrent music for diffrent resaond and if u dont like it then u can always vibe to ur own music. but dont say hiphop aint what it used to be. because theres always something out there for somebody.

I agree with BXKIXKING, now it's about how much buzz you make instead of talent ex. lil wayne, gucci mane, jay-z (now). I see a good album every week on itunes but they'll get no recognition just because they don't have big record companies pushing their albums. In the industry it's all about the quick dollar and they know what sells is pop music so they sign artists who will make it, which drake does he's very successful at doing it but in a couple years everyone will forget about him because in the pop world it's only what's hot at the time. Real hip hop has a fan base that is around forever as along as the artists don't sell out. I would like to see it go back to the people with talent sold more, but I doubt it because teenage girls control radio music (I know this I'm 18 I just graduated from high school and it's what they like is what gets played on the radio) (guys just say they like it because it's club music and they just want to hook up with a girl). I'm just saying get your own style listen to your own music instead of just listening to what's popular at the time.

Should be hot. Maybe Gold. People need to realize Drake is not all that lyrical, but he can produce a hit, and that's all you need to get a record sale.

Thank him for what? Being a Wayne/Kanye clone. I can't really dig dude he is not hot, but I hope he is blessed with good album sales if that is what God has in place for him
