According to the Associated Press, Braun, who also manages teen pop star Justin Bieber, surrendered to Nassau County police on Wednesday (March 24) on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance. Braun’s lawyer says that he will plead not guilty.
In November, Braun police ordered send out a Twitter message canceling a planned appearance by Bieber in a New York Mall once the crowd got unruly.
The prosecutor in the case contends that Braun took 1 1/2 hours to send the two Tweets, but his lawyer says it only took seven minutes. If convicted, Braun faces up to a year in jail.
A vice president from Bieber’s record label was also arrested.
