Irv Gotti has being doing a lot of talking in the past weeks that he was about to sign Nas to a record deal with his Def Jam imprint, Murder Inc. Then last week the big news broke, Nas signed with Murder Inc. The hip hop world was up in arms, how could Nas sign with them after all the things he has been saying lately? Well, he hasn’t signed.

Nas recently told MTV news that he is still signed to Columbia/Sony. Irv Gotti did have this to say though, “I had talks with him. Me and him really got to kicking it, he’s a good dude. I was in Miami, Atlanta, we did the last leg of the tour with him. He is going to be on Sony, but it will be like Ill Will/Murder Inc/Sony. But I will definitely be affiliated and I will definitely be a part of his projects, me and my brother Ja Rule.”

In addition to the upcoming “Illmatic To Stillmatic” remixes EP, Nas and Columbia will release “The Lost Tapes” LP this fall. It will release various unreleased and bootlegged tracks over the last couple years. Nas’ original “Stillmatic” was almost entirely different than the one that was released. Look for the new album to feature tracks like “Black Zombies,” “Doo Rags,” “Drunk By Myself,” and “Poppa Was A Playa.”
