The bad half, Royce Da 5’9 has had his far share of problems in the last year. Skillz (formerly Mad Skillz) has finished recording his sophomore set “I Ain’t Mad No More” due out on Rawkus/MCA on 9/10/2002. Look for guest spots from Cee Lo, Missy Eliot, Pretty Ugly, Danja Mowf, Musiq, The Neptunes and Kandi Burress. Where are the Eastern Conference boys?…

Lastly, a lot of controversy is going around about Nas and the Hot 97 deal and now the Murder Inc situation. I certainly hope that his mock lynching of Jay-Z was a rumour like he said, it would have certainly been contradictory to his newfound ideals. Then again, so would signing to Murder Inc. For all the talking that Nas has done of late about the state of hip hop and the messages that emcees are portraying, how can he turn around and sign to one of the guiltiest labels and not lose all of his integrity. Murder Inc and Ja Rule are a big part of the problem, does Nas just see the dollar signs???
