Last Thursday on June 27th Cornerstone celebrated the 40th edition of their mixtape in grand fashion. Sprite presented the event at Peppers, a Caribbean restaurant in Tribeca. The Cornerstone Mixtape is the music industry’s official mixtape that helps radio programmers and DJ’s alike decide what to play. A hand picked group of DJ’s were selected to come and represent at the event.

The DJ’s, which ranged from commercial cats to mixtape cats, were Green Lantern, Max Glazer, Doo Wop, Stretch Armstrong and Jazzy Joyce. Each month Cornerstone produces three custom double CDs that contain new music mixed by commercial radio DJs and recording artists. These CDs are custom designed and contain enhanced videos. 10,000 of each of these CDs are mailed to key music and lifestyle influencers from Cornerstone’s network of radio, recording, media, film, television, sports, tech and fashion companies, artists, celebrities and managers.
