“As a teenager, I joined a performing arts youth group that did drug and gang intervention.

I did it as a way to keep myself out of trouble and when I joined, they had no one that rapped. I decided that would be me so when we would go perform and talk to kids that were locked up or in rehab programs I would get up and do a song. I was terrible and had no idea what I was doing and after getting heckled a couple times I decided I needed to take it serious so I wouldn’t get embarrassed. I got decent at it and other kids started to respond when I performed and needles to say I fell in love with being on stage and rapping.”
