Joe Budden Talks Trinidad James, Says The Rapper

Joe Budden says he would have liked to have brought Trinidad James out at his NYC show, reveals that he has heard the rapper's EP.

Prior to Atlanta rapper Trinidad James’ much talked about New York City show at Santos Party House on December 4, Slaughterhouse’s own Joe Budden stopped by The Angie Martinez Show on HOT 97 to speak briefly on the Southern spitter.

Budden even revealed that he was hoping Trinidad would stop by his show which was to take place the day before the “All Gold Everything” rapper’s show at Santos.

“Well, Trinidad James is performing at Santos tomorrow. I’m performing at B.B. Kings tonight. I thought he might have been in town…Yeah, I was gonna try and bring my man Trinidad out,” Budden revealed in a video posted on YouHeardThatNew.com.

The Jersey rapper even expressed his familiarity with Trinidad’s Don’t Be S.A.F.E. EP and cited one of the records off of the project before referring to the rapper as having “taken the nation by storm.”

“All Gold Everything” “Yes, he has an EP out,” said Budden when asked if he had heard anything other than “All Gold Everything.” “He has another song on the EP. It goes, ‘My side chick is my main chick cause my main chick don’t love me no mo.’ I’m serious. These are real records. These are real records. I just wanna know what’s happening with his situation. Is he gonna end up with a label…Has there been any rap act recently that has taken the nation by storm?"

On top of Joe Budden, Trinidad James has received co-signs from the likes of T.I. and Big Boi.

"you probably proudly blast the fraudulent Ross out of your car speakers" Better to blast fraudulent Ross with the windows down than have the windows up listening to Nas.

Trinidad dude is wack. I'm sorry but if you end up liking this guy then you probably proudly blast the fraudulent Ross out of your car speakers, i bet. He isn't anything new or original just a wack act that the industry is pumping out to get another buck out of. He songs are garbage too, he talks a lot but isn't saying much.

People keep saying flavour of the month. I remember at one time Luda was just another gimmick rapper and I never thought he would release more than one album, guess I was wrong. I see that same hustle and style from Trinidad James, he can stick around if he keeps coming with songs that fans will like. All Gold Everything is catchy and that's about it, no need to hate.

Luda can rap, lyrically this cat makes Gucci Mane look like Eminem.

What Joe Budden really said... "I need that man to come to my show so I can actually pack a club and have somebody to wake the audience up in between 4 minute long depression anthems."

Joey, can you ask Em if I can join the group? Tell him the next album will be certified platinum in a week. Fucking right. A week, and if I'm wrong then Jimmy can ship my ass over to E1. I'd love to worth with Sheek Louch. That nigga pushes mad units, son. 8,000 in a week? How was that not #1?

It's funny that New York is even giving this Trindad James fellow any praise, considering the fact that one of Georgia's own MC's, OJ Da Juiceman, was booed off stage some time ago. But I agree with the comment below, he IS another flavor of the month type rapper. That's how alot of commercial rappers are getting cosigned nowadays.

SO...IF NY DISLIKES ONE RAPPER FROM GEORGIA...YOU WOULD ASSUME THAT NY DISLIKES ALL RAPPERS FROM GEORGIA??? THAT IS QUITE GENIUS BRO!!!
    • HighlyOpiniated
I'm speaking about the TERRIBLE rappers from Georgia, the vast majority.
  • Really??!!?
Has there been any rap act recently that has taken the nation by storm?...yes every new rapper out ie. Kendrick, A$AP, Chief Keef to name a few
    • BLACK
FUNNY THING IS I DON'T REALLY HEAR THAT MANY PPL IN THE REAL WORLD TALKING ABOUT ANY OF THESE RAPPERS!!! MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE I'M NOT IN HIGH SCHOOL.
    • grip
asap, and K-dot are signed to a label or labels, james has done this without any help.......and asap is not popping in the south like he is in NY....good buzz but nothing like James....and his boy saying James was biting his style did not help anything.
  • 614grind
Budden got soft. He's always been an emotional media whore but at least he kept it 100. Budden dissing Method Man and shoutin out James is a major blemish on Joey's Hip Hop purist reputation. How any emcee could even acknowledge a cat who only been rappin 10 months is gay.
    • Anonymous
He's like any other purist that's like "fuck it". Probably got a lapdance out of off one of his joints, get neck or a lapdance out of a wack song you gonna like that song.
    • Quez
sometimes and just sometimes ppl fuck with music for pure entertainment I'm not co-signing Trinidad James but sometimes ppl just wanna dance or vibe ppl don't always wanna have to think about what they listening to, theres a place for everything.. I couldn't bump this shit in my car but while I'm in the club sorry I don't need you educating me I just wanna see shorty shake her ass Real Talk chicks get down to that Trinidad dude
    • BLACK
AND SOMETIMES PPL MAY JUST LIKE A SONG AND NOT HAVE TO EXPLAIN TO HIPHOP NERDS WHY THEY FUCKING LIKE IT!!! "THAT'S SOOOO GAY DUUUUDE"
    • Waffles
Your comment really didnt make much sense B it didnt smh
