Chuck Inglish f/ DonMonique – “Type Freaky”
Chuck Inglish is better leaving the embellishments to someone else, and DonMonique slathers this one so much raw sexuality that you can feel the heat blowing up off the baseline.

Kirk Knight f/ Joey Bada$$ – “5 Minutes”
A fantastic album that won’t be appreciated much, Late Knight Special delivered this grimy New York special featuring the one and only Joey Bada$$.

Machine Gun Kelly – “Oz.”
It’s no secret Machine Gun Kelly puts on for his hometown of Cleveland as well as the entire Mid-West. Makes sense for him to utilize Crucial Conflict’s “Hay” on the Jim Jonsin produced “Oz.”

Big K.R.I.T. – “86”
It’s Better This Way is yet another trunk rattling journey through the complex mind of Krizzle. There isn’t a better example than the musical smothered chicken bass of “86.”

The Game – “El Chapo”
DX’s editorial staff has already given praised to The Documentary 2.5 track produced by Bangladesh. Once again, The Game spits some of the best bars with that aggressive name dropping flow that’s still engaging.

The Underachievers – “Take Your Place”
Two great New York albums in one month? It’s hard to believe, but on a project that’s the tightest of The Underachievers career, “Take Your Place” transports their signature energy and packs it full of brilliant destruction.

D.R.A.M. f/ SZA – “Caretaker”
Technically a remix, SZA on the mic drastically improves the original.

MED, Blu & Madlib featuring Jimetta Rose – “Burgundy Whip”
Jimetta Rose’s silky jazz like hook only adds the almost unholy amount of funk on display. Technically a little dated, it reappeared on MED, Blu & Madlib’s recently released Bad Neighbor project.

Two Fresh f/ Joey Purp & Vic Mensa – “Still Got It”
It’s easy for Two Fresh to dip their toes deep into the EDM pool, but “Still Got It” provides a counterweight to all those springs, and features Joey Purp at his most charming.

Bingx f/ ArtBySeven – “In My Prayers”
Seattle’s Bingx double-timed his flow into our tiny editorial hearts on this one. His project W.O.R.D.S drops soon.

Joey is cool with giving you all the emotion you can handle, but “Man Down” takes even his normally morose tone up a considerable notch..

Skeme – “Anyways”
Skeme blazed through with “Anyways,” featuring a slow march of murky bells, cobwebs and dread woven inside a beat you can’t stop listening to.

Talib Kweli f/ Rapsody – “Every Ghetto”
You’ve got to know you have something undeniable in your hands when you premiere the track on Jimmy Fallon. Of course, Talib Kweli and Rapsody flat out murder their perspective verses.
