Statik Selektah Reacts To The Passing Of Sean Price
Hip Hop is in a daze this morning as we all react to the passing of the beloved emcee Sean Price. One-half of Heltah Skeltah, part of Boot Camp Clik and a member of underground juggernaut Duck Down Music, Sean was an emcee’s emcee. He is also responsible for one of the best albums of all time in Monkey Barz. HipHopDX mourns his loss and offers our condolences to his friends and family. August 1 marks the one year anniversary of Remy Ma being released from jail. She spent six years in New York’s Bedford Hills Correctional Facility For Women. She shared her thoughts on the journey. Dr. Dre’s Album Features Production From DJ Premier
DJ Rhettmatic confirms that Dr. Dre and DJ Premier worked together on a track featured on Dre’s upcoming album. He detailed listening to the final tracks on Compton, and witnessing the collaboration in the works. I wish I could’ve gotten a picture with the Good Doctor but I didn’t want to interrupt their workflow & overstep my welcome. Even if I never get to meet him again or ever work with him at all, I’m good because I was able to witness history in person & was able to check off a Hip Hop bucket list.
