According to a familiar cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words. Your favorite celebrities—including rappers—are doing less and less press, but luckily their thumbs and smartphones still work. Instagram has provided a way for them to document their lives and/or thoroughly embarrass themselves for our collective enjoyment. The beauty of it all is that you don’t even need to join Instagram, as most rappers are perfectly fine leaving their feeds open for public viewing. And if you’d rather avoid the IG life altogether, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s pictures and videos and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.
This week, 50 Cent trolls Floyd Mayweather and asks him to take a reading challenge and DJ Mustard is named Producer of the Year at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip Hop Awards. Check the rest of the week’s top Instagram posts below.
Drake Makes The Cameo Of His Life
What do you do when the girl you've been publicly pining over calls you up and tells you to head on over to her music video set? You run right over. No questions asked. I'm sure Aubrey made his way over to his buddy Nicki's "Anaconda" set without asking who, where, what and why. And was pleasantly surprised with the "why." The caption: "Ayyyyyyyye @nickiminaj way way wayyyyyy up. Def the best invite to a video shoot EVER. #ViewsFromMyChair #MyAnacondaWasWayUp." Friend zoning at its finest.
50 Cent Gives Floyd Mayweather A Reading Challenge
While the rest of celebrity America is smiling, laughing and pouring buckets filled with ice over their heads due to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge phenomenon, 50 Cent just smiled and basically thought, "Or nah." Instead, he called on his former friend Floyd Mayweather to do a reading challenge. The caption: "Floyd will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or fucking up. lmao." After the challenge was made, "The Breakfast Club" released audio of Mayweather trying to read a promotional drop during his visit to the radio station. From the sound of it, maybe 50 Cent was right.

You can now buy your very own Eminem Detroit Tigers jersey that comes with an exclusive tour patch on the sleeve and "MATHERS" (the E is backwards) and the number 8 on the back. The caption: "And now, batting for the Detroit Tigers..."
Kendrick Lamar Accepts Dr. Dre's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
While somewhere in the world 50 Cent is saying "Fuck this bucket of ice," Kendrick Lamar is accepting Dr. Dre's challenge to pour a bucket of ice on his head in order to build awareness and raise money for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The act was captured in a fancy video collage where the Compton rapper is seen getting doused three times. According to Kendrick, Serena Williams, Ellen Degeneres and Samuel L. Jackson are the next in line for the challenge. The caption: "Kdot accept Dr. Dre's challenge."
Killer Mike on CNN
Self-proclaimed gangster-rapper-and-political-junkie Killer Mike paid a visit to CNN to discuss civil rights abuses, among other topics, in a live interview. "I’m afraid for all Americans," the emcee said during his CNN appearance. "I’m not just afraid for Black Americans today. I’m afraid for all Americans because whether it’s this situation with this particular policeman in Ferguson or illegal traffic stops or policemen asking you questions that directly interfere with your 5th Amendment rights, things have gotten so lax to the point that we all have an apathy that we aren’t on the case about the people we vote into office, meaning mayors, the people they appoint, police chiefs, and the people that are hired police. We as Americans have to be more vigilant about policing the people we pay to protect and serve us." The caption: "Ohhhhh shit! Look who is in the building #CNN let's chop it up."
Iggy Azalea Take A "Fancy" Fall During Concert
Life is easier when you can laugh at yourself, especially when you fall six feet with heels all the way down to the floor in front of a full venue in the middle of performing the biggest hit of your still burgeoning career. Iggy Azalea took a fall during one of her live performances, but claims she kept on rapping. The footage she shared ends with the fall, so that's all we can confirm. The caption: "Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn."
DJ Funkmaster Flex Sends Well Wishes To The Carey-Cannons
DJ Funkmaster Flex sent out good vibes on Instagram to the latest couple that called it quits, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey. According to reports, Mariah and Nick live separately and currently have lawyers working on a settlement and custody paperwork. Reported cause for the divorce? During an interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, Nick dished out the names of a few famous women he's had sex with and one of them was Kim Kardashian. Apparently, Mariah didn't care for that too much. The caption: "I normally don't care about these subjects... But I hop Mariah and Nick get back together... Look at the 2 cute little ones... I hope the work it out... It's none of my business (Kermit voice) .... Now the media looking for dirt and lies... I hope they can get back together before the media keeps them apart..."
Throwback Thursdays: Q-Tip & Tyra Banks
Back in 1993, Q-Tip was getting ready to release Midnight Marauders with A Tribe Called Quest and 20-year-old Tyra Banks came back to the U.S. from living the international model life to focus on more commercial modeling and starred in a few episodes of a show you might recognized titled "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air." Q-Tip shared a true Throwback Thursday picture of him and Tyra cheek-to-cheek from 21 years ago. The caption: "#TBT me n @tyrabanks 1993."
Cam'ron Switches Up The Ice Bucket Challenge
Cam'ron took the term "ice bucket" from the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and gave it a completely new meaning. "This is my ice," he shares as he scans over enough bling to pay off someone's car loan. "This is my bucket," he shares as he points his camera to his crispy white bucket hat. He then later turns his bucket hat upside down and yells, just like the rest of them. The caption: "This is my #IceBucketChallenge #NewGame #LETSplay lolol GM."
