According to a familiar cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words. Your favorite celebrities—including rappers—are doing less and less press, but luckily their thumbs and smartphones still work. Instagram has provided a way for them to document their lives and/or thoroughly embarrass themselves for our collective enjoyment. The beauty of it all is that you don’t even need to join Instagram, as most rappers are perfectly fine leaving their feeds open for public viewing. And if you’d rather avoid the IG life altogether, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s pictures and videos and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.

This week, 50 Cent trolls Floyd Mayweather and asks him to take a reading challenge and DJ Mustard is named Producer of the Year at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip Hop Awards. Check the rest of the week’s top Instagram posts below.

Drake Makes The Cameo Of His Life

While the rest of celebrity America is smiling, laughing and pouring buckets filled with ice over their heads due to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge phenomenon, 50 Cent just smiled and basically thought, "Or nah." Instead, he called on his former friend Floyd Mayweather to do a reading challenge. The caption: "Floyd will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or fucking up. lmao." After the challenge was made, "The Breakfast Club" released audio of Mayweather trying to read a promotional drop during his visit to the radio station. From the sound of it, maybe 50 Cent was right.

While somewhere in the world 50 Cent is saying "Fuck this bucket of ice," Kendrick Lamar is accepting Dr. Dre's challenge to pour a bucket of ice on his head in order to build awareness and raise money for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. The act was captured in a fancy video collage where the Compton rapper is seen getting doused three times. According to Kendrick, Serena Williams, Ellen Degeneres and Samuel L. Jackson are the next in line for the challenge. The caption: "Kdot accept Dr. Dre's challenge."

Killer Mike on CNN

Life is easier when you can laugh at yourself, especially when you fall six feet with heels all the way down to the floor in front of a full venue in the middle of performing the biggest hit of your still burgeoning career. Iggy Azalea took a fall during one of her live performances, but claims she kept on rapping. The footage she shared ends with the fall, so that's all we can confirm. The caption: "Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn."

DJ Funkmaster Flex Sends Well Wishes To The Carey-Cannons

Back in 1993, Q-Tip was getting ready to release Midnight Marauders with A Tribe Called Quest and 20-year-old Tyra Banks came back to the U.S. from living the international model life to focus on more commercial modeling and starred in a few episodes of a show you might recognized titled "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air." Q-Tip shared a true Throwback Thursday picture of him and Tyra cheek-to-cheek from 21 years ago. The caption: "#TBT me n @tyrabanks 1993."

Cam'ron Switches Up The Ice Bucket Challenge

"I need Producer Of The Year for every award show. Every one. All of them. I think I deserve it," DJ Mustard said in an interview with HardknockTV earlier this year. Talk about speaking it into existence. On Friday (August 22) night, DJ Mustard was named R&B/Hip-Hop Producer Of The Year at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. The caption: "Thanks everyone at bmi I'm thankful !!!! I said I'd do this 2 years ago I'm blessed to be in this position and I don't take it for granted at all ... Love #mr10summers."
