According to a familiar cliché, a picture is worth a thousand words. Your favorite celebrities—including rappers—are doing less and less press, but luckily their thumbs and smartphones still work. Instagram has provided a way for them to document their lives and/or thoroughly embarrass themselves for our collective enjoyment. The beauty of it all is that you don’t even need to join Instagram, as most rappers are perfectly fine leaving their feeds open for public viewing. And if you’d rather avoid the IG life altogether, we’ve filtered through the top rapper’s pictures and videos and consolidated all the week’s events into one convenient feed.
This week, Outkast links up with Busta Rhymes and Too $hort for a Coachella flick, Kanye West announces his new shoe line release date and Eminem and Spike Lee pose on the set of Em’s new video. Check the rest of the week’s top Instagram posts below.
Eminem & Spike Lee In Detroit For New Video
Eminem and director Spike Lee posed for a picture posted on Em’s account, with the caption, “Spike came out to The D for the “Headlights” video… Coming soon.” What we know is that Eminem has a new video coming out for “Headlights.” What we don’t know is the role that Spike Lee will be taking for the visual. Most likely, he’ll be directing the video for The Marshall Mathers LP 2 single coming out soon.
Kanye West Announces New Yeezys Coming In June
During an appearance at the Adidas global brand conference in Germany earlier this week, Kanye West made a huge announcement about his expensive high-end sneakers. “In June, we’ll see the new Yeezys,” Kanye said in an Instagram video post caught by user iamdaysh. Earlier this year, Kanye’s Red Cotobers dropped a la Beyonce (aka by surprise) and sold out within minutes. New reports recently claim that the new shoes will likely be looking at a Spring 2015 release instead of June 2014 but the notion was fun while it lasted.
Cam’ron’s #ThrowbackThursday High School Picture
Before the pink furs, lavish bling, and luxury capes, Cameron Giles kept it simple with a Champion crewneck sweater and a backwards cap. Cam’ron posted this Throwback Thursday picture, along with the caption, “Tbt 7th grade.. Me & My nigga Byron from Marble Hill.. I Still had da Gucci bracelet on..” Did I mention the Gucci bracelet? Of course pre-teen Cam’ron wasn’t going to keep it super simple. Always known for the glam, Cam.

After Outkast closed out the first night of Coachella weekend one, Busta Rhymes and Too $hort joined the duo for a talent-filled snapshot. Busta Rhymes and Too $hort were because they joined Girl Talk during his set, which took place right before the ATLiens hit the stage. One can only imagine the electricity in the air as they, and the rest of the audience, waited for Outkast to hit the stage for their one-hour-and-a-half set.
Birdman & Justin Bieber In The Studio
Justin Bieber has been spending quite some time in the studio with Birdman, apparently working on a song for YMCMB artist Austin Mahone (who has a very similar sound to Bieber’s). Earlier this week, Birdman gifted the Biebs with a shiny red Bugatti which Justin eagerly shared on Instagram with the caption, “Uncle Stunna luv. My first Bugatti #generosity.” Perks of the job, I suppose?

Pharrell, Oprah & A New Hat
Pharrell is Oprah’s guest on her OWN show, Oprah Prime, this Sunday night. As a guest, Skateboard P was required to take a mandatory picture with the host. Just kidding, Oprah never forces you to take pictures. She pulls you in with her presence and you end up begging for a selfie.
Ice Cube Throws First Pitch At Dodgers Game
L.A. native Ice Cube appropriately wore his Dodgers gear to throw the first pitch at the game against the Detroit Tigers. “Throwing out the first pitch at the Dodgers tonight,” wrote Cube as his caption. In case you were wondering how good his pitch was, according to reports, the pitch “did not disappoint, sending it just wide of the plate but with enough distance.” After he was done, he pumped up the crowd with his signature “Yay Yay” chant right before the game was about to begin.
