Do unsigned artists have it hard? Not if they are vigilant and attentive. Most are making major label moves today without major label love. Factors such as the lack of deals and an inundation of self marketing tools are incentive enough to give any unsigned artist who is on his BI a good kick up the ass.

One person who is more than aware of which doors he can open himself is Choir Boy.

NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH: The Mike Jones from Texas as the two share the same name. But once Choir Boy saw just how Mike Jones had branded the name he opted to take Choir Boy as his alias and is doing a damn good job of branding himself anyway.

CAPABILITIES: Choir Boy has the ability and the tools to reach your mind with his concepts. Touching on social issues in a way that makes you listen and ponder is something very few rappers fail to administer today. This puts him in his own lane where he is able to drive slow and enjoy the ride.

HIDDEN TALENTS: Not only is he a damn good rapper, but he produces and has even scored a couple of movies. Some of his tracks have appeared on video games.
