Benny The Butcher has praised J. Cole for backing out of the ā€œbig threeā€ beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

During a recent interview with Fight Hype, the Buffalo, New York rapper was asked to share his thoughts on Coleā€™s divisive apology to K. Dot for dissing him on ā€œ7 Minute Drill,ā€ which he later removed from streaming platforms.

ā€œThatā€™s my dog,ā€ he said of the Dreamville founder. ā€œHonestly, you can see how gossipy and everything that this battleā€™s turned into.

ā€œDo you blame him for not wanting to be a part of this at this moment? Do you blame him? I donā€™t. I probably wouldā€™ve went about it in a different way, but itā€™s like a gossip battle.

ā€œItā€™s not like a rap battle, itā€™s like a telling-each-otherā€™s-business type of thing so I wouldnā€™t want to be a part of that.ā€

The feud between Drake and Kendrick has intensified in recent weeks, with both men making scandalous allegations about each other on wax.

Despite his comments, Benny The Butcher has been involved in ā€œgossipyā€ rap beef himself, most notably with Freddie Gibbs.

The feud began after Gibbs joked about Benny getting shot in the leg, which led to Gibbs being jumped in Buffalo allegedly by Bennyā€™s entourage.

ā€œHe always been a contender but I feel like heā€™s coming into his own right and standing over it. You know how [Lil] Wayne said heā€™s claiming it?

ā€œI kinda feel like heā€™s claiming it right now. And heā€™s done enough where he could claim it.ā€
