Benny The Butcher Applauds J. Cole's Exit From 'Gossipy' Kendrick Lamar & Drake Beef

Benny The Butcher has praised J. Cole for backing out of the “big three” beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

During a recent interview with Fight Hype, the Buffalo, New York rapper was asked to share his thoughts on Cole’s divisive apology to K. Dot for dissing him on “7 Minute Drill,” which he later removed from streaming platforms.

“That’s my dog,” he said of the Dreamville founder. “Honestly, you can see how gossipy and everything that this battle’s turned into.

“Do you blame him for not wanting to be a part of this at this moment? Do you blame him? I don’t. I probably would’ve went about it in a different way, but it’s like a gossip battle.

“It’s not like a rap battle, it’s like a telling-each-other’s-business type of thing so I wouldn’t want to be a part of that.”

The feud between Drake and Kendrick has intensified in recent weeks, with both men making scandalous allegations about each other on wax.

Benny The Butcher says he doesn't blame J. Cole for not wanting to be part of this Kendrick Lamar and Drake rap battle because it's gossipy.

Despite his comments, Benny The Butcher has been involved in “gossipy” rap beef himself, most notably with Freddie Gibbs.

The feud began after Gibbs joked about Benny getting shot in the leg, which led to Gibbs being jumped in Buffalo allegedly by Benny’s entourage.

Blows have been landed in various other forms as well, including the Griselda rapper hanging out with Gibbs’ ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of his child.

Benny The Butcher collaborated with J. Cole on “Johnny P’s Caddy,” from his 2022 album Tana Talk 4 album.

Benny crowned Cole the “best rapper alive” during an interview with HipHopDX earlier this year.

“I’ma have to say Cole [is the best rapper alive],” he declared. “Like, right now, fresh in my memory right now. It gotta be that kid there, man. It’s a different aura with him, right?

“He always been a contender but I feel like he’s coming into his own right and standing over it. You know how [Lil] Wayne said he’s claiming it?

“I kinda feel like he’s claiming it right now. And he’s done enough where he could claim it.”
